The 15th International Conference on Superplasticity in Advanced Materials (ICSAM 2026) will be held in Suzhou, China, from August 16-20, 2026. The objective of this conference is to bring together both academic and industrial participants with interests in superplasticity, promoting teamwork, collaborations, and partnerships to advance this technology globally.

The interest in superplasticity has shown steady growth since Pearson's initial demonstration of the phenomenon in 1934, evolving from fundamental scientific exploration to industrial applications. Continuous research has expanded the scope to include metals, intermetallic compounds, ceramics, bulk metallic glasses, nanostructured materials, and composites.

About ICSAM 2026 Conference

ICSAM 2026 will be the 15th International Conference on Superplasticity in Advanced Materials. The objective of this conference is to bring together both academic and industrial participants with interests in superplasticity, promoting teamwork, collaborations and partnerships to advance this technology globally.

The interest in superplasticity has shown steady growth since Pearson's initial demonstration of the phenomenon in 1934, evolving from fundamental scientific exploration to industrial applications. Continuous research has expanded the scope to include metals, intermetallic compounds, ceramics, bulk metallic glasses, nanostructured materials, and composites.

The first ICSAM was held in San Diego in 1982 as a platform for academic and industrial researchers and engineers in the field of superplasticity based on materials science and mechanical engineering.The ICSAM conference series has been held triennially. The previous fourteen conferences were successfully held in San Diego, Grenoble, Blaine, Osaka, Moscow, Bangalore, Orlando, Oxford, Chengdu, Seattle, Albi, Tokyo, St. Petersburg and Barcelona.
